Pogba & Ferdinand Speak As Man United Appoint Ole As Permanent Manager
Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has disclosed that the club’s new permanent manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has given the Red Devils players the confidence to play again since he took charge at the club as a caretaker coach.
Pogba said this while reacting to Solskjaer’s appointment as Man United’s new permanent manager.
DAILY POST recalls that Solskjaer was on Thursday morning appointed as Man United’s new permanent manager after winning 14 of his 19 matches in charge as caretaker manager.
The Norwegian signed a three-year deal to remain at Old Trafford.
Pogba told Sky Sports:
“It’s been very good. Results have been very good. We have a coach that value us, a really happy coach. He’s given confidence back to the players.
“Solskjaer gives freedom to play football again. Maybe we lost that before.
“The first day he arrived he just told us to enjoy playing football again. When you don’t enjoy playing, there is no point playing. When you stop loving what you do, there is no point in doing it.
“Let’s just get back to basics and enjoy. Enjoy playing together, enjoy attacking, enjoy playing together and then that’s it. Then the results came by themselves.”
On his part, Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand wrote on his Twitter page: “Yessss Ole is officially at the wheel.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered! Manager of Manchester United. I hope my thank you is in post Ole.”
